Literature Program

The Literature Program offers space for Palestinian writers to discover, develop and express themselves through exposure to diverse literary experiences and literary audiences. This program capitalizes upon the center’s symbolic linkage to two significant figures in the field of literature in Palestine – Mahmoud Darwish and Khalil Sakakini; to encourage and stimulate the Palestinian literature production.

Working with young as well as established writes, the program will feature a series of activities including readings, training on literary short stories, book launchings, residency programs and mentorship programs. Thus, bringing together established and young art practitioners from different disciplines to work on texts that could be later reproduced into other artistic/creative expressions (artistic mediums, theatre, short films, comics) in collaboration with other groups/collectives
